Climate & Energy
Asia-Pacific is among the most climate-vulnerable regions in the world.
Across the Mekong region, both drought and monsoons are intensifying, devastating the livelihoods of millions of farmers and fishers who depend on the river. In the Gobi desert, both summers and winters are growing more severe, challenging nomadic herders and even the toughest wildlife. Meanwhile, sea level rise is threatening to engulf the Pacific Islands and their coastal communities.
What we are doing
The good news is that we can still escape the worst impacts of climate change. But we need to do more, and faster.
Across the region, WWF is working with governments, businesses and communities to phase-out coal and other fossil fuels, while promoting sustainable renewable energy sources
